Surgery alone did not help Tina fully recover from her shoulder pain; so she turned to naturopathic treatments to heal her shoulder. The successfulness of the treatments and the core principals of naturopathic medicine led Tina to pursue a future as a naturopathic doctor. Although she no longer swims competitively Tina still maintains an active lifestyle leading Running Room running clinics and practicing Yoga. Her experiences as an athlete allows Tina to relate to her patients, in-turn giving her the ability to develop appropriate treatment plans based on patients needs.
